G.L.O.W (Girls Leaning On Women)

Helping young girls and young women find their Natural Essence!

Our young girls are spending too much time following the negative stereotypes offered to them by community, television and news.

Many of our girls and women live in desperate situations that don’t allow them an avenue to elevate and begin to understand their true essence.

It takes US as a people to create a village that will lift up the minds, body, and souls of our women and remind them that they are the queens, mothers, wives, and future leaders.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to help Afrikan women and girls find (within themselves) leadership, self respect, empowerment, and self love.

Our mission is to create and Afrikan Women’s Collective that will reconnect women with their natural selves.

Our mission is to teach our young Afrikan girls that their value is more than their hips and their thighs.

Purpose:

The purpose of this program is to be a village for young black girls and women in our community. G.L.O.W will be available to provide a series of resources that offer spiritual, cultural, physical, mental, social services to help our girls and women achieve their goals.

Our purpose is to re-establish the importance of the Spirituality, Culture, Family, Education and Hard Work.

Our purpose is to help our girls and women find their own self worth and respect by helping them to realize (through motivation, resources and opportunity) they can move past their current life status.
